Cornell Women's Club of Syracuse

President's Message

Our year got off to a great start with an inspirational presentation by Gabriel bol Deng.  And we have more great events lined up!

Events:
See the listing below for all of the great events we have planned for this year.  All those who took classes in "Martha Van" will want to learn more about the Lake Placid beginnings of Home Economics in November.  You can collect an assortment of cookies and hear a campus update from Jim Miller '69 in December.  March and April bring presentations by three local women in business: one producing maple syrup, and two Cornellians in Interior Design.  Join us in Seneca Falls to celebrate women in history in May.  Plan on our June plant sale to start your garden at a good price -- all proceeds benefitting our Margaret Crouch Nottingham Scholarship.

Womens' Club Scholarship Program:
The Margaret Crouch Nottingham Scholarship fund is how we honor our history in Syracuse and help the young women today. A portion of our dues money and all our small fundraisers go toward increasing our endowment of this award that is given annually to three upperclass women from the Syracuse area.   The scholarship began in 1933 in honor of Mrs. Nottingham ‘19 who was one of our charter members and it has benefited over 180 young women.

We welcome scholarship gifts at any time.  Checks can be made out to "The Cornell Women's Club of Syracuse" and sent to Barbara Richardson at 6076 Kirkville Road North, Kirkville, NY 13082.  Please put "Scholarship" in the memo.

If you are interested in joining the Cornell Women's Clun of Syracuse or would like more information about the club, please contact us!  We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events!

Sincerely,

Kate McMahon ‘92 & Tricia Bana '00
